Catholic School Council (CSC) Chair's Blog of Oct. 27th
My name is Katharine Ford and I am the Chairperson for the St. Patrick Catholic School Council. This is my 3rd year on council but first as Chair. The 2017/2018 school year has had a really great start and we are gearing up for an exciting year ahead.
Our new Principal, Mr. Colella, has brought a new energy to the staff and students at St. Pat’s and has given us the opportunity for more school community events! We also have some new members to our CSC who bring with them plenty of experience and dedication working with community councils/events and they are motivated to help make St. Patrick school the best it can be for our children!
We are firm believers in team work and know that it takes a village to raise a child. With that being said, we must not only thank our staffs and school supports for the work that they do, but we must also aide them in the engagement of our youth to achieve greatness in every aspect of their lives.
This year, we, as parents, are being given the opportunity to show our involvement and support for our children and our school community by actively embracing our parental commitment. We are being called on by God to expect of ourselves much more than we expect of our children. Let us show them the way!
I am very excited and inspired by the people at St. Patrick who surround our students and it is my pleasure to be apart of the wonderful TEAM that we have here. I look forward to seeing and meeting all the families at the many events ahead!
May God continue to bless you.
